How it works
Each year group identifies and appoints their own OM Futures representatives. This can be an individual or a group from within the year.
Each year group can begin their fund-raising at any stage but typically at the 25th anniversary reunion, which is now an official event hosted each year by the College, the fund for the year group will be formally opened.
A minimum commitment of just £25 per month for five years from each member of the year group in theory will ensure the bursary target of £170,000 is reached. In practice the target is reached through a mix of minimum contributions and some much more substantial contributions as circumstances allow.
A key tenant of OM Futures is that it is a collegiate approach to funding. The individual is secondary to the group and regardless of individual contribution the common goal is for the group as a whole to meet its target.
